Tarek’s Story is a documentary short film produced in-house at Weill Cornell Medicine in 2018 as a part of their strategic fundraising and development efforts. The goal was to illustrate the impact that medical student scholarship can have aspiring doctors.
Tarek Khader’s family is his inspiration. By becoming a doctor, he honors his parents’ sacrifices as Palestinian refugees, striving to become the kind of caring physician he would have wanted for his mother when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
